DUATHLON:
1 mile run, 10 mile bike, 4 mile run
Location: Snow Valley is half-way between Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead, off HWY 18. It’s a 1 1/2
hour drive from Orange County and Los Angeles and a little over 2 hours from San Diego.
The Course:
The swim will be one and a half loops in Snow Valley's private lake at 7,400 feet . Expect water
temps to be between 70-71 degrees. For wetsuit rental go to XTERRA Wetsuit Rentals.
The bike is a hilly 2 loop course of fire roads and double track.
The run is a challenging 4 mile loop of fire roads and cross country scramble. There will be 2 aid stations on the run course offering Gatorade, Gu and water.
Transition areas: Due to the nature of the course we will have two separate transition areas.
T1 will be at the swim start, which is about 1 mile from the finish line.
T2 will be directly adjacent to the finish line and parking area.
Participants will first set up their run gear in T2, then ride their bikes to T1 carrying their swim gear with them. After the swim you will place your swim gear in a numbered bag we provide and it will be transported to the finish line.
USAT: XTERRA Snow Valley will be a USAT sanctioned race. All participants must be an annual member of USAT or purchase a One-Day license for $10. You must present your USAT membership card and Photo I.D. at packet pick-up.
Post Race: Stay after the race! Custom Awards, raffle and BBQ lunch free to all participants.
Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Event will he held rain or shine.
